Math and Pumpkin Carving

We had a great time last Friday at our Math and Pumpkin Carving activity.  Students were pumpkin investigators who practiced estimating skills and recording data.  Students counted the number of lines their pumpkin had, measured the circumference, measured the height in unifix cubes, and counted all the seeds by counting in groups of 10.  Students then collaborated in the design of the pumpkin face.  We had a great time! Our pumpkins were on display at Witches Delight.  Hope you enjoy some pictures from the day!
